Prontuario APAPCH
Mobile app with complete technical datasheets for all 78 Abkatún Pol Chuc Asset reservoirs
The problem
Every month the asset produced the Prontuario: a presentation of approximately 200 slides with the technical information for all reservoirs. Nobody read it completely. In meetings, only 5 slides were reviewed — those covering the highest-production fields — and the rest went untouched. Engineers arrived at meetings with printed sheets under their arms, or asked for basic data in WhatsApp groups while the meeting was already underway. Bubble point pressure, temperature, porosity — data that should be instantly available became interruptions or educated guesses from memory.
The goal was simple: turn those 200 slides into a tool any engineer could consult in seconds from their phone, in the middle of a meeting, without searching through paper or interrupting anyone.
Scope
Solution
A Microsoft Power Apps application with a complete technical data sheet per reservoir: petrophysical parameters (porosity, permeability, saturation), fluid properties (bubble point pressure, temperature, API gravity, GOR), cumulative production data, and any other relevant engineering parameter.
The app was adopted by the engineering design team, the area coordinator, and the asset manager. The intention was to scale it to the entire subdirección given its immediate impact in meetings and field work — correct data in seconds, from any device, without depending on anyone.
Complete technical datasheet
Petrophysical parameters, fluid properties and production data per reservoir — all in a single screen.
Instant search
Access to any of the 78 reservoirs in seconds, by name or field.
Mobile + desktop
Power Apps runs on any device — phone, tablet or computer — without additional installation.
No custom infrastructure
Built on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem already in place at PEMEX — no additional servers or IT configuration.
Data per reservoir
Each technical datasheet was organized into 4 sections with all the parameters an engineer needs in a meeting or in the field:
Exploitation
- Discovery and exploitation year
- Static and initial pressure [kg/cm²]
- Temperature [°C]
- Average depth and lower limit [mvbnm]
- Water depth [m]
Fluid
- Representative PVT
- Density [°API]
- Saturation pressure [kg/cm²]
- Reservoir type
- Rsi and Salinity [Mppm]
Formation
- Lithology
- Area [km²] and thickness [m]
- Porosity and water saturation [%]
- Permeability [mD]
- Water-oil contacts [mvbnm]
Production
- Active wells and Qo [bpd]
- Np — Cumulative production [MMb]
- RRA — Remaining reserves [MMb]
- N — Original oil in place [MMb]
- FRAA and FRAF — Recovery factors [%]
